Roadto100 Project
Running 100km to cover costs of 100 days youth entrepreneurship program
What begun in 2019 as a training plan for the first 100km race, turned into an entrepreneurial training program for young people in fragile regions in middle east or Africa in e.g Lebanon, Palestine or Rwanda.
As an Athlete and Social Entrepreneur, I’m always fascinated by and curious about adopting a Sport mindset into our business world to build sustainable social businesses, and most importantly to make a change in other people’s lives. The program’s objective is to empower young people to teach soft skills through entrepreneurial and sport methods within 100 days to increase youth employability. The end goal is to support youth in fragile regions in bringing their startup ideas to life within 100 days and achieving their first steps in building their business.
Roadto100 program consists of 4 steps each through an agile sprint framework as a basis to improve leadership skills, self-confidence, and youth employability:
Structure - breaks down long term goals in small achievable steps
Routine - reduces complexity, miscommunication and increases team engagement
Self Reflection - understanding where improvements are needed, helps to increase self-awareness and improve work efficiency
Leadership - knowing what servant leading means encourages to create in each team member a leader in their expertise
