It’s up to us to give up or to fight together for what we truly believe in to make this world a better place for future generations.
Born in Würzburg (Germany) and now living in London, Daniel is a runner, social entrepreneur and filmmaker who wants to make a difference in the world through sport and film.
In 2007 he had a life changing experience. Following the death of two family members within a very short space of time, he had not only lost most of my family but he also lost all of his belongings – including his home due of financial difficulties in the family.
It was at this time that he discovered even more running. Running was a way for him to escape from the stress of not having his own home — running cleared his head, leaving more space for new and positive ideas, and rebuilt his confidence. Over the last years working in the social and digital entrepreneur sectors made him realize how fortunate he was. — he wanted to combine his passion for running with helping others. – Young people.
Daniel started his filmmaking career four years ago after attending the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. Always focussed on making a positive difference in the community through film, he created short films like “20 Kids, 1 Clown and 1000 Dreams”, and “Surprise”, starring actress Eunice Olsen. At the same time he was an assistant for the international film production company A-California-Film and worked for a tech start-up as a network technician.
He has always been passionate about giving back to the community. A keen half-marathon and marathon runner (The Beirut Marathon was his first marathon), he founded Crowdrunning in 2013 – a social enterprise to that aimed to support charities and community projects through running. He welcomes new ideas about using social media and sport to address global and local causes.
